Xbox partnered with Mountain Dew and Doritos to help promote the launch of their new console, the Xbox One X. We built a companion mobile app called Drop Zone to help promote the Xbox One X consoles. The experiential marketing activation, Drop Zone, was an event-based app where digital Xbox consoles were “dropped” within particular physical geofences of New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles. The app launched the weekend after the auctions and provided people with an additional way to win consoles.
